• Arctic Benthic Biology and Ecology - benthic community structure and functioning, climate variability and ecosystem forcing, food web dynamics and trophic pathways, individual growth rate variations and adaptation to environmental variability, long-term community compositional changes in rocky intertidal communities
• Anthropogenic disturbance - Ecological effects of petroleum-related activities to benthic fauna, sensitivity of coastal biological resources to anthropogenic disturbances
• Monitoring, Surveys, and Assessments - coastal assessments and resource surveys, with specialized expertise in benthic fauna, oil spill sensitivity mapping and emergency response planning, environmental effects of marine aquaculture, environmental monitoring of coastal and offshore waters, environmental Appraisals and Impact Assessments
